A Message from

Richard and Wendy Goldberg

Dear Friends,

Welcome to Sunshine Sober Living. On behalf of our entire team—and especially our Program Director, Elliot Leonard—we’re honored to open our doors and our hearts to you.

Our mission is rooted in the traditional recovery model, offering a structured and accountable program for those ready to embrace sobriety. It demands hard work, but it also promises real transformation.

Sunshine Sober Living stands on the foundation of years of collective experience, deep community roots, and an unwavering commitment to healing. Thanks to our strong relationships across the recovery landscape, we are also able to connect our residents with trusted professional services nationwide.

We recognize that addiction recovery is one of the most challenging fields to work in. But we also believe our team is uniquely equipped to make a difference. Drawing on Elliot’s clinical expertise, my background in business and marketing, and Wendy’s remarkable ability to bring ideas to life, we’ve built a program that balances structure with compassion—one that meets people where they are and walks with them toward lasting change.

This mission is deeply personal. We dedicate Sunshine Sober Living to our beloved son, Robert Scott Goldberg, a dynamic leader in the recovery movement whose strength, compassion, and vision continue to inspire us every day. Rob tragically passed away in June 2018 at the age of 33. His loss devastated us—but it also fueled our resolve. Sunshine Sober Living is a living tribute to his legacy: a space where healing is nurtured, relapse is prevented, and lives are rebuilt with dignity and purpose.

Today, we pour our hearts and souls into this work—not just as professionals, but as a family that knows the pain of loss and the power of recovery. It is our deepest hope that Sunshine Sober Living not only supports those in recovery, but also builds a strong, connected alumni community—one that reaches back with kindness to lift up the newcomers still finding their way.

With warmth and gratitude,

Richard & Wendy Goldberg
